Although the Colosseum and Forum was very crowded, it was a pleasant visit. I recommend it!

IColosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill guided tour
I took this tour on August 23, 2024. We met across the street in a mini park area near the entrance to the Roman Forum at Largo Corrado Ricci at the intersection of Via de Cavour and Via dei Fori Imperiali.
Zara was our tour guide. She was fantastic!! She is very knowledgeable and explained in detail the history of the ruins. She had a booklet with pictures of how parts of the Roman Forum and Colloseum used to look like before the ruins evolved over time and parts like the decorative bronze elements were removed and transferred to other
sites such as St Peter’s Basilica.
Zara was considerate throughout the tour. It was brutally hot and she knew when we needed to rest and where to seek shade.
All in all from start to finish, we were given a highly interesting tour which ended at the Colosseum. Zara even took pictures for us along the way and was so personable!!
I would highly recommend this tour, the price is very reasonable and it was great that we had audio from start to end to listen to Zara as it’s the busiest time of year and is very crowded.

The guide was fluent in English and friendly. All the explanations were very informative but far from boring. I recommend it. Unfortunately, the museums were very crowded, but that doesn’t matter.

Our guide Cecilia was wonderful, telling the roman history in a light and interesting way! I only had difficulty finding the company at the meeting point in Largo Corrado Ricci. But as soon as I found Cecilia, she directed me.

I just did this Vatican tour, and it was amazing! Our guide was super friendly and had tons of cool stories about the history and art. Seeing the Sistine Chapel in person blew my mind! Plus, we skipped all the long lines, which was a huge win. If you’re thinking about checking out the Vatican, definitely go for this tour—it’s totally worth it!
We had the best time with our tour guide Tiberio during the tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill! Tiberio was very knowledgeable and kept us interested for the whole tour (which does not happen a lot…). We had a lot of laughs, learned a lot and also had some personal conversations, we cannot recommend him enough.
Stephanie was a wonderful tour guide! She conveyed a lot of information in a very easy to understand way. Her knowledge of art, history, and the Catholic Church was extremely helpful in understanding what we were seeing. She was also very kind and gave us great advice for seeing more on our own after the tour. Our morning at the Vatican with her was a great experience!
Cecila was absolutely fantastic. We went on several tours during our time in Rome, and the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill guided tour was by far our favorite. A tour can truly be made or broken by the guide, and Cecila is exceptional. I don’t need someone to spend three hours rattling off facts like a PowerPoint presentation—I can get that from my phone or AI. What makes a tour memorable is when facts are woven into stories that bring the time period to life. Cecila did exactly that. She kept everyone engaged, navigated us seamlessly through crowds, and explained everything clearly and accessibly. I would rate her 10/10 and highly recommend her and this tour.
