Visit every public area of Budapest’s most famous basilica with one complete ticket. Explore the Church Hall, discover the Treasury and enjoy 360° views over the city from the Panoramic Terrace.

See St. Stephen’s Basilica from its richly decorated interior to the panoramic terrace surrounding its dome with one complete booking. The St. Stephen’s Basilica all-in-one ticket includes access to the Church Hall, Treasury and Panoramic Terrace, allowing you to experience every visitor area of this Budapest landmark.

St. Stephen’s Basilica all-in-one ticket: three areas in one visit

Begin your visit inside the Church Hall, where Neo-Classical architecture, marble columns, mosaics, gilded decoration and the monumental central dome create one of Budapest’s most recognisable interiors.

The basilica is dedicated to Stephen I, Hungary’s first king and one of the most important figures in the country’s history. Inside, you can also see the Holy Right, the preserved right hand of King St. Stephen and one of Hungary’s most significant religious relics.

After exploring the main church, continue to the Treasury. This exhibition presents objects connected to the history and religious life of the basilica, including liturgical vestments, chalices, reliquaries, historical documents and pieces associated with important figures of the Hungarian Catholic Church.

Many of the objects displayed in the Treasury are not simply museum pieces: some continue to form part of the liturgical life of the basilica. The collection offers a different perspective on the monument, connecting its architecture with the people, ceremonies and traditions that have shaped it.

Complete your experience on the Panoramic Terrace! Located around the main dome, approximately 65 metres above the city, the terrace offers a full 360-degree panorama and is the highest viewing platform in Pest.

From here, admire Budapest’s rooftops and look across the city towards the Danube, the Hungarian Parliament, the hills of Buda and many of the capital’s best-known landmarks. It is one of the best places to understand the layout of Budapest and photograph the city from above.

With the St. Stephen’s Basilica all-in-one ticket, you do not have to choose between visiting the church interior or seeing Budapest from the dome. One ticket gives you access to the complete visitor experience: architecture and religious heritage inside the Church Hall, historical objects in the Treasury and panoramic views from the terrace.

The visit is self-guided, so you can explore the three areas at your own pace. A tour guide, audio guide and organ concert are not included.

As St. Stephen’s Basilica remains an active place of worship, religious services, weddings and special events may occasionally affect access to the Church Hall or alter the normal visiting route.

Book your St. Stephen’s Basilica all-in-one ticket and discover one of Budapest’s most important monuments from inside and above!!
