This is an excellent tour. It was exact information needed in a perfectly timed pace. Our tour guide was knowledgeable. She took extra time with our kids, which made them feel included and made it more impactful. I highly recommend this tour.
We had Tiberius. The tour was poor and disjointed. He didn’t provide a good history of the forum and palatine hill. The colosseum was a better but he was all over the place. The only tour where I haven’t come back with more knowledge than when I started.
Our tour was exceptional. Our tour guide provided facinating stories and she posessed vast knowledge of the Colosseum as well as Ancient Rome sites. Her love for what she wa doing was on full display. Recommend her highly
Our Colosseum (with arena) + Roman Forum + Palatine Hill tour was fantastic! Our guide, Alessio, was knowledgeable and knew how to get us through the crowded places without much waiting. I would definitely recommend a guided tour for this one – it’s a lot to figure out by oneself (in limited time).
We are very disappointed as we didn’t get to go on the tour. We arrived on time and met a tour guide who said we weren’t on her list but another guide would be along shortly. No guide arrived. I emailed the company, phoned the company and we were told we had missed the tour. It was a special tour to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday- very disappointing. We paid extra then to go into the colosseum ourselves with no guide… overall a terrible experience.
I was disappointed with this tour. We booked via The Tour Guy. The title and the majority of the description state, it is a tour of the Colosseum, but we spent the first 2 hours walking around the Forum. More time should have ben spent at the Colosseum. On the positive side, the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

We did this tour last week with Xenia as our guide and it was amazing from start to finish. Getting to go on the floor was much better than just visiting the 1st and 2nd levels. Our guide was extremely informative and did a good job making sure we were in shaded parts when possible (it was 90+ degrees and sunny). She was super engaging and informative and gave us. She also explained things in a way that brought the tour to life and kept the group moving. Other tour companies have guides that give you information you can find in a text book but not her, we learned a ton of new things! We were visiting Europe and did other tours through other tour companies but this was by far the best. The booking process was easy and clear and they responded to questions I emailed them prior to the tour quickly and courteously. I highly recommend this tour!
Our tour guide Philippe was excellent, very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He led a well paced tour and kept us in shade as much as possible on a scorching hot day. The tour was interesting and we learned a lot without being overwhelmed.
Disappointing. Our guide was a nice lady. However, her accent was very strong and all 5 in our group found it hard to understand. Also, the content of what she said was a lot of individual anecdotes that assumed we already knew a lot about history. Overall we came away having not learnt much.

Tour moved a little slow through the ruins. Prepare for it. Hat, umbrella, water. Could pick up the pace. Great ending in the Coliseum.
Our tour guide was Valeria, a very knowledgeable and sweet lady. My husband got sick and was unable to attend the tour so it was me and our daughter. Valeria helped me with the stroller and waited for me to take the elevator. I had to cut the tour short because it was unbelievably hot and my daughter was getting a bit tired but I truly enjoyed it.
Natalina was amazing! She gave us tons of fun stories about ancient life, she had pictures to visualize the ruins as they once were, and the arena view was super cool.
The tour was 2 hours around the Roman forum and Pallantine Hill before you go to the colosseum for the last hour. By that time, the children were hot and bored. Shame.

This tour was great! Ksenia was so positive and made her vast amount of knowledge not only accessible but wonderfully engaging. It was easy to find her at the beginning and despite the various cues and ticket checkpoints, the entire tour ran very smoothly. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Ksenia! 🙂
